How do I use the shopping cart?

The shopping cart software allows you to add items to your basket as you browse our site. You are then given the opportunity to check and modify your order before confirming it and finally arranging payment and delivery. You will be asked to acknowledge that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions which are outlined on this page before your order is confirmed. When your credit card details are requested you should enter the correct information and the payment will then be authorised online. If you experience any difficulty with our third party payment systems, please contact us. We are happy to take payment over the telephone.

How secure is your site?

We use Actinic Payments or Paypal for our online credit card transactions.

How much do you charge for delivery?

Delivery charges are calculated once an item is added to the shopping cart. Charges start at £2.95 for orders under £29.99, Standard delivery over £30 is free to Mainland UK (excluding Highlands and Islands).

When is my credit card debited?

Your card will normally only be debited when the goods are despatched. The only exception to this is when items are reserved for a delivery pre-arranged for a date more than 5 days in advance in which case we will take the payment at the time of the order.

When will my goods be despatched?

Goods are normally despatched within 24-48 hours of receipt of your order Monday to Friday. If there will be any delay in despatch we will let you know.

How are the goods delivered?

We use Royal Mail for the majority of our deliveries, and courier for some heavier items. When we have despatched your order we will send you an email to let you know which service we have used.

What if I am not in to receive the delivery?

In the event that no-one is available to receive the delivery, a card will be left for the recipient providing details of how delivery can be re-scheduled or how to collect the parcel from the local sorting/delivery depot. After the first attempt at delivery has been made, it then becomes the recipient's responsibility to rearrange delivery or to collect the parcel.

What if the parcel is damaged on arrival?

In the unlikely event that your purchase fails to arrive in perfect condition, please advise us within seven days of receipt of the parcel and we will be happy to arrange either an exchange or a refund for any item lost or damaged in transit. Please immediately for details of how to return the item and to arrange an exchange/refund.

Do you provide a guarantee?

We offer a "no quibble" 30 day guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with any item you have purchased from us, either because of an error on our part or because an item is defective, we will be pleased to refund the purchase price providing the item is returned undamaged and unused, in its original packaging, within 30 days of receipt (food items must be returned within 7 days of receipt). Amounts refunded will be credited back to the purchaser's credit/debit card.

In the unlikely event that you do experience a problem with an item please and we will advise you how to return it.

Can I cancel the order?

Cancellation prior to despatch: If cancellation is received before the goods are despatched we will refund the total cost of the order.

Cancellation after despatch: By law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered to you ("cooling off period"). For more information on the cooling off period visit the Department of Trade & Industry's website at http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/guide/homeshop.htm#cooling.

If you change your mind about the order, we will be happy to refund the full purchase price of the goods provided notice of cancellation is received and the goods are returned to us within the cooling off period.

The goods must be returned in perfect, unused condition (with any shrink wrapping intact) to qualify for a refund for the item.

We are unable to refund the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase, for example expedited delivery, additional giftwrapping or greetings cards, or the cost of return postage. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service to return the item to us. If we do not receive the item back from you, we may arrange for collection of the item from you at your cost.

All amounts refunded will be credited back to the purchaser's credit/debit card.

What if I have a complaint?

We hope you will tell others about us if you are happy with our service, and tell us if you're not! We place great importance on the complete satisfaction of our customers which is why we take great care to only select the highest quality products from reputable suppliers and aim to offer a service second to none. If for any reason you do have a complaint, please . We treat all complaints very seriously and aim to deal with them fairly, promptly and confidentially. All complaints will be acknowledged in writing within 48 hours and resolved within a timescale notified to you.

Do you have everything in stock?

All of our products are offered subject to availability. Unfortunately our stock system is not "live" and therefore occasionally an item showing as being in stock on the website may actually be out of stock. When an out of stock item is ordered and when we are not expecting a delivery soon, we will contact you to offer an alternative prior to shipping. If the alternative offered is not suitable you you can of course cancel your order.

Will you keep my details private?

If you do not give us your consent, all information received from you will be kept completely confidential and will not be disclosed to any other party.

To monitor behaviour of visitors to our website we may use "cookies", that is information stored on your browser that enables us to identify you in future visits to our website. You can modify your browser to prevent this from happening.
